At Micha A/S (“we/our”), we give high priority to data security and confidentiality. This privacy policy sets out clear guidelines for Micha A/S’s way of processing your personal data. The following explains how we use the personal information that you leave and/or provide when you visit our website, as well as when you use the various services on our website. The privacy policy may be changed without notice, and the latest version will always be available on our website.

Collection of personal data, purpose and legal basis for processing

When you use our website and/or services, personal information is collected about you. The personal information we collect may include, for example, your name, email address, home address, telephone number and similar identifying information, information about an online purchase and about your navigation on the website.

Collection, as well as the purpose and legal basis for processing your personal data, takes place in one or more of the following cases:

  • When you purchase goods online at www.kitkarnaby.dk. The purpose of the collection is to fulfill your order in our webshop, as well as compliance with other legislation, such as bookkeeping and accounting, and the legal basis is Article 6, paragraph 1, letters b and c of the General Data Protection Regulation.

When you sign up for Kit Karnaby's newsletter. The purpose of the collection is to send you news, and the legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

  • When you join Micha's customer club. The purpose of the collection is to be able to administer your membership and provide you with the benefits that result from membership, cf. Article 6, paragraph 1, letter b or f of the General Data Protection Regulation.

We would like to point out that the use of your personal data for sending marketing material will only take place if you have previously given your express consent, unless the law allows us to contact you without you giving your consent first.

Micha A/S keeps statistics on which areas of the website our users visit and which products are the users' favorites. This data does not contain personal information. The collected data is used to gain knowledge about the users' use of the website. This information is used to improve the website. However, we use data about all of our users' navigation to understand how our users as a group use www.michagroup.com, and on this basis try to make the website better. In addition, we collect information about which products our users, as a group, prefer. This information is also used to improve the website. We do not sell or otherwise disclose information about our users' use and navigation of our website. And we do not sell your purchase information to third parties.

Disclosure to other data controllers

Your personal information will not be disclosed to a third party without your permission. However, information used for delivery of goods will be disclosed to the shipping company used by Micha A/S.

In addition, under certain circumstances and in accordance with the law, it may be necessary to disclose information to public authorities or the police. For example, information may be disclosed to the police in the event of suspected credit card fraud.

In the event of restructuring or full or partial sale of the company, any disclosure in such a connection will be in accordance with the legislation applicable at any time for the processing of personal data.

Transfer to data processors

Your information is entrusted to Micha A/S partners who provide services on our behalf, e.g. in connection with sending out newsletters and operating the website, as well as warehouse logistics. These partners only process the personal information on behalf of Micha A/S and in accordance with our instructions.

Deletion of personal data

We will delete your personal data when we no longer need to process it to fulfill one or more of the purposes set out above in section 3. However, the information may be processed and stored longer in anonymized form.

  • Your purchase history will be stored for up to 3 years after the end of the calendar year in which the purchase was made. Accounting material is stored for 5 years from the end of the calendar year in which the purchase was made.

  • When you unsubscribe from newsletters, you will be immediately unsubscribed, but documentation of the original consent given will be stored for 2 years.

  • Your membership of our customer club will be deleted if you have not used the login here for more than 1 year or will be deleted immediately if you unsubscribe from our customer club. Documentation of the original consent given will be stored for 2 years.
